Chemists and engineers at GlaxoSmithKline were instrumental in developing a range of clever parallel synthesis tools designed to tackle performing multiple reactions on one magnetic stirrer hot plate. Developed in a partnership between GSK chemists and Radleys engineers: The Radleys Carousel 12, Radleys Carousel 6 and the Radleys GreenHouse parallel synthesiser and blowdown unit are easy to use, perform multiple reactions, fit on a standard magnetic stirrer hot plate and take up less space than multiple individual set-ups.

Carousel 12 Plus Reaction Station:

The patented Carousel 12 Plus simultaneously heats/cools, stirs and refluxes multiple reactions under an inert atmosphere. An effective personal synthesis station for parallel chemistry and solid supported reagent screening synthesis.

• Accepts up to 12 glass tubes with a reaction volume from 1 ml to 20 ml

GreenHouse Plus Parallel Synthesiser:

The GreenHouse Plus provides 24 heated and stirred glass reactions with volumes from 0.5 ml to 7 ml. The refluxing head allows for convenient additions or withdrawals whilst maintaining an inert atmosphere.

Carousel 6 Plus Reaction Station:

The patented Carousel 6 Plus offers parallel chemistry in the most universally accepted chemistry reaction vessel, the round bottom flask.

• Accepts round bottom flasks, including vessels with one or two sidearms: 5 ml, 10 ml, 25 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml, 170 ml and 250 ml.
• Powerful, even stirring – fits on to a Carousel stirring hotplate
• Rapid heating to 180 ˚C and cooling to -78 ˚C
