Carousel Core+ Stirring Hotplate
The unique Kera-Disk heating plate is comprised of aluminum for fast heating times with a wafer-thin ceramic coating to make the heating plate both chemical and scratch resistant.
Hotplate temperature range: 20 to 300 °C. 800 Watt heating power – heats rapidly. Speed range: 100 to 1400 rpm.
Residual heat indicator provides a clear warning if top plate surface is greater than 50 °C, minimising accidental burns.
Digital display of temperature and speed with both set and actual values.
Separate on/off switch for heating prevents unintentional heat-up. Temperature and rotation knobs can be locked to prevent changing of set values.

Superior safety features
Carousel Core+ Stirring Hotplate provides built in safety features as standard to protect both the user and the sample.
Residual heat indicator provides a clear warning if top plate surface is greater than 50 °C, minimising accidental burns.
Separate on/off switch for heating prevents unintentional heat-up.
When heating is switched on, the on/off button is illuminated for visual control.
An independent safety circuit switches off the heating if the set hotplate temperature is exceeded by 25 °C.
To protect your sample from overheating a safety circuit switches off the heating if temperature sensor is not immersed.
Stirring control features a smooth ramp to set speed which prevents decoupling.

Webinar: Optimising Mixing: Techniques for Better Reactions
The webinar will cover the importance of stirring and its impact on reaction rates, product quality, and efficient heat transfer. We will explore the benefits and limitations of magnetic stirring, how to select the right stirrer bar, and the use of evaluation kits.
Attendees will also learn about the advantages of overhead stirring for both small and large volumes, especially in viscous and heterogeneous reactions, and discover the impact of different impellers on mixing.
Insights into scaling up from laboratory to production scale and considerations for technology transfer will be shared. Additionally, we will compare high shear vs. low shear mixers, radial vs. axial flow impellers, and understand the importance of vessel geometry and baffling for optimal mixing.

Webinar: Unleash your humble hotplate – it can do so much more than you think
Are you making the most of your hotplate?
Louisa Quegan and Keren Abecassis share their chemistry lab hacks: showing you a range of tools you might not know about.
From 1 position to 45 on a single hotplate – with working volumes between 0.5 ml and 2.5 L. Lou and Keren discuss their personal experience in the lab using traditional methods vs. this range of tools.
